well all is well with me in South Africa. I'm loving every min being here. I heard that Phillips took away 8 golds this summer. Sorry of s ubject here. It's almost the end of the transfer, this week is week 6.Time sure does fly by when your having fun as a missionary. that means that as s oon as I get my card from you then I'll be sending Pictures of the Transfer . Its amazing that there's Missionary work going on 24/7 around the world. Once on mission is going to sleep another is rising, the work will never re st. This week I find out weather or not I'm staying in Khayelitsha. I think ing I'm going to be staying but its going to be the last week I'm going to be with Elder Nelson. It's been a blessing to be with him. We laugh our sel f silly every night remembering what happened during the day or the silly t hings we say. It's really helped me over come my homesickness because we've become best friends. The Mutlane Family is doing great we taught them the Word of Wisdom, they asked question and said that everything make sense of why we shouldn't take in that stuff. We've also have been helping this Tata ( father in Xhosa) named Bro. Frazenburg quit smoking. We're having him cu t down each week. He's cut down to 1 a day. OH YEAH. Oh have I told you tha t I have flea? yeah fleas are the worst thing that ever lives, no joke the love me this transfer I've had over 100 flea bits. I know now how a Dog fee ls. This part is for Sarah.... I'm good How are you? hahahahahahahahahahhah ahahhahahah. When did you send my Card Ps? Have I told you this Story? Eesh I'm bad at this, well Elder Nelson and I were going finding. It was my doo r mean I was the one introducing the Book of Mormon. I started out, Hi this is Elder Nelson ( pointing to elder nelson) Then I pointed to myself and s aid and This Is Elder Perry. SO that the funny story. well I got to Jet tal k you all next week, CHEERS

Hey sounds like everything is going great back home, and i can believe that i made it through my first tranfer. One down 3 more til I'm 6 months old on mission. I'm picking up Xhosa really fast. I'm staying in Khayelitsha for another tranfer. So maybe I'll have some Xhosa down then. Yo I love this work and being in South Africa. this past week it was Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday All of South Africa was Parting. I'm learn how to use my camera better from Elder Ellsworth, well you'll see when you get the pictures that I'm sending today. The whole not being able to email on Monday through Nelson the other Elders and I off the whole rest of the week. Hows the blog coming? HOW summer? Man I'm looking forward to summer here, but Hear its hotter. I'll guess I have to endure right? Elder Nelson and I are getting along great, we always find something to laugh about that happened during the day. Time is just flying bye and I kinda want it to slow down. I love this work so very much. Just last night We were teaching a Family the First lesson. They said that they understood and believed that what we were saring was true, Cause their church also happened that way. Well we then asked them to pray to find out if what WE were sharing was true. Then we asked if the their answer is yes what does that tell you about our message and your Church? That started this weird tangent about how God has changed Baptism cause not everyone lives by sea of river. So We just bore Testimony and got out of there. But Its Lessons like those that I gain a stronger Testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His Atonement, of Joseph Smith AND the BOOK OF MORMON. Family? mean everyone would you please read and study the Book of Mormon EVERYDAY? I know that this is Gospel is true with all that I am and I'm going to proclaim it tell I am Blue. I love you every single one of you. Can I get Wesley's Email please? Mom Tell all the Boys that I want them to go on Mission, I truely want them to. Pretty much I love you. I'll be seeing you all soon K? With all my Love, and from

Letter to the Family
Dear family,
EESH, it sounds like everything is going great with everyone. I enjoyed your emails and the stories in side. So the protesters are getting bad yo. some word of advice, Dont Fight them, cuz when you fight that closes the door to there hearts. THis past week had its ups and downs. The Downs were that we had some investgators kinda go sour on us. THey were 7th days meaning they believe that the sabbuth is on Sat. Eesh they like to fight, we tried to state why we believe its on Sat. But nothing came of it. The Ups We come to a investigator named William we gave him a Book of Mormon. the next time we stoped by he had read all the way to jacob. In another lesson, we taught the matlane family about the plan of salvation. after the lesson the wife said that they could think like us they would be alot better off on life. We then explained that they can. Then in another family they both prayed and they both know that the Book of Mormon is true. The wife ask whats the next step for them to take. We're trying to get them all to church, but due to the rain, they can't make it. So Elder Nelson and I are going to explain that going to church no matter the weather is where the lord wants them to be.Being so far from home, has gave me a great love for you, all of you. SO I just want you to know that i love you so every much with all that i am. I feel bad that at times i was a butt and wined alot, but at the time i didnt know that you My family was the most important thing I will ever have. I Love You so every much. Mission President
Hey guys! This is an e-mail that Elder Perry's Mission President sent us...
Cape Town, South Africa11 June 2008
Dear Brother & Sister Perry,
Your son, Elder Lance Perry, has arrived safely in Cape Town! We picked him up at the airport this morning. Enclosed is a photo taken with us at the mission home as evidence. It's a cool winter day here in the most beautiful city in the world! We want you to know that we have felt a wonderful spirit about your son and it's obvious he is excited to meet his companion and arrive in his first area tomorrow to begin his missionary service. He expressed to us that he really enjoyed his 3 weeks at the MTC in Johannesburg. His new companion (trainer) is Elder Benjamin Nelson from Springville, Utah, one of our finest elders, who has been out about 17 months, and they will be serving in the Khayelitsha township outside Cape Town. The work is going great across the South Africa Cape Town Mission. Elders Perry and Nelson have a lot of potential to work with in the Khayelitsha Branch, where wonderful spiritual experiences are happening among the missionaries, their investigators and recent converts there. We enjoyed getting to know Elder Perry as we interviewed and visited with him today. He is ready and enthusiastic to get to work! His companion will join us in the mission home for breakfast tomorrow (Thursday) morning will and drive him to his area. He will be able to email you each Monday.Thank you for sharing him with us!
Here is his new address if you wish to write him...Letters or Packages!
P.O. Box 181,
Observatory 7935,

Or you can e-mail him at this address but he can only hand write you back!
