Dear family,
EESH, it sounds like everything is going great with everyone. I enjoyed your emails and the stories in side. So the protesters are getting bad yo. some word of advice, Dont Fight them, cuz when you fight that closes the door to there hearts. THis past week had its ups and downs. The Downs were that we had some investgators kinda go sour on us. THey were 7th days meaning they believe that the sabbuth is on Sat. Eesh they like to fight, we tried to state why we believe its on Sat. But nothing came of it. The Ups We come to a investigator named William we gave him a Book of Mormon. the next time we stoped by he had read all the way to jacob. In another lesson, we taught the matlane family about the plan of salvation. after the lesson the wife said that they could think like us they would be alot better off on life. We then explained that they can. Then in another family they both prayed and they both know that the Book of Mormon is true. The wife ask whats the next step for them to take. We're trying to get them all to church, but due to the rain, they can't make it. So Elder Nelson and I are going to explain that going to church no matter the weather is where the lord wants them to be.Being so far from home, has gave me a great love for you, all of you. SO I just want you to know that i love you so every much with all that i am. I feel bad that at times i was a butt and wined alot, but at the time i didnt know that you My family was the most important thing I will ever have. I Love You so every much. Mission President
Hey guys! This is an e-mail that Elder Perry's Mission President sent us...
Cape Town, South Africa11 June 2008
Dear Brother & Sister Perry,
Your son, Elder Lance Perry, has arrived safely in Cape Town! We picked him up at the airport this morning. Enclosed is a photo taken with us at the mission home as evidence. It's a cool winter day here in the most beautiful city in the world! We want you to know that we have felt a wonderful spirit about your son and it's obvious he is excited to meet his companion and arrive in his first area tomorrow to begin his missionary service. He expressed to us that he really enjoyed his 3 weeks at the MTC in Johannesburg. His new companion (trainer) is Elder Benjamin Nelson from Springville, Utah, one of our finest elders, who has been out about 17 months, and they will be serving in the Khayelitsha township outside Cape Town. The work is going great across the South Africa Cape Town Mission. Elders Perry and Nelson have a lot of potential to work with in the Khayelitsha Branch, where wonderful spiritual experiences are happening among the missionaries, their investigators and recent converts there. We enjoyed getting to know Elder Perry as we interviewed and visited with him today. He is ready and enthusiastic to get to work! His companion will join us in the mission home for breakfast tomorrow (Thursday) morning will and drive him to his area. He will be able to email you each Monday.Thank you for sharing him with us!
Here is his new address if you wish to write him...Letters or Packages!
P.O. Box 181,
